Tales on Moon Lane was founded in 2003 by former literacy co-ordinator, Tamara Macfarlane. As part of the services in the shop Tamara established a specialized supply system for schools and libraries. Leah Chin joined Tamara in 2008 and together they have built up a reputation as a skilled and reliable provider of book services to schools and libraries in the UK. The business consequently branched out as Moon Lane Education Ltd in 2012.

Moon Lane Education uses the knowledge of expert booksellers to give teachers and librarians a full advisory service. Our staff have an acute awareness of the latest trends and reading habits of today’s children and a thorough understanding of schools’ educational needs with an academic knowledge of children’s books and how they lend themselves to the classroom.

We stock a broad range of multi-cultural books and can tailor selections to your needs based on theme or topic. Journeys and Migration, Black History Month and Stories from Around the World are some of our most popular. Many of our books are sourced from around the world to ensure a range that meets the needs of London’s vibrant cultural mix.

Priding ourselves on a high level of customer service, we offer competitive discounts, quick turnaround on orders, a book covering service and a vast range of topic boxes to meet all of your school’s book needs. We are the authors of the Southwark Recommended Reading List and can provide INSET training on a range of reading and book related areas.
